I den sidste opdatering fra Valve, så blev både Negev og R8 revolveren fjernet fra matchmaking, da Valve skulle justere dem.

Prisen på våbnene er nu reduceret, hvor R8 koster $700 og en Negev kan nu købes for $2000. En Negev kostede tidligere $5700, så det er en betydelig reducering, men med dens manglende præcision ved de første skud, så er det nok ikke et våben, som vil blive brugt i de højere matchmaking ranks.

"Over the past few weeks we’ve watched players use the newly adjusted weapons in the casual game modes, and the next step is to try them out in a competitive environment. We expect that the Negev will be a situational weapon that will require experimentation on the part of teams to be effective, so as a starting point its price has been lowered significantly."

Det er dog ikke en fastsat ændring, da Valve har sagt, at det kun er midlertidigt, da de gerne vil evaluere deres impact.

Så man skal nok ikke forvente, at prisen for en Negev forbliver $2000.

Det stiller dog også et spørgsmål til og dem ikke snart var tid, til at der blev introduceret en beta-klient, for at teste tingene fremfor at vente på feedback fra live serverne, da det ikke virker helt gennemtænkt.
