Det er netop blevet offentliggjort, at Ninjas in Pyjamas ikke fortsætter samarbejdet med deres League of Legends hold.
Holdet, der vandt Copenhagen Games, klarede ikke udfordringen i Promotion turneringen, og formåede dermed ikke at kvalificere sig til at spille i sommersæsonen af LCS.
Gustav M. “flabbert” Karto, Ninjas in Pyjamas' managing director udtaler til nip.gl:
It is with a heavy heart that we now announce the splitting of the current league of legends squad. There has been a number of ups and downs with our foray into league of legends, but all in all it has been a rewarding experience. We hope that we have more announcements with regards to our future in League of Legends soon, in the meantime hang in there, and as always Go ninjas!
Holdet var dog klar over, at det var alt eller intet, når det kom til at sikre sig en plads i den europæiske LCS. Holdets tidligere midlaner Erlend “nukeduck” Våtevik Holm udtaler:
As we said in the pre match interview at LCS this was do or die, we felt that there was nothing more to give with the current lineup, and people have decided to move on. I wish all my former teammates all the best of luck for the future, and you will hopefully see me again soon!
