I går kunne du læse, at ESWC Central Europe qualifieren var blevet aflyst efter en bunke både små og store problemer. Kvalifikationen til ESWC-finalen i Montreal blev arrangeret af polske CSGames.pl, som tilsyneladende ikke magtede opgaven. Sådan er ordlyden i hvert fald i ESWC's udmelding, der blev givet til hltv.org
"For each of the regional or national qualifiers, we receive and study plans submitted by potential partners. CSGames.pl proposed an interesting project regarding their central position in Europe and the dynamic local market they have in Poland. They committed on the full support of all travels and accommodation costs related to the venue in Montreal for the qualified team - that was our only request.
However, the online qualification, which started last weekend, encountered many problems and was not managed properly. This Monday, CSGames.pl announced us that they finally won't be able to organize the offline final due to the departure of one of their main sponsor... So we are now forced to cancel this disappointed attempt of qualifier, and transform the slot in an application for one European team. The selection will be made quickly to let enough time for the selected team to arrange its travel.

Problemerne var mange, og CSGames.pl måtte både kæmpe med at skifte venue, kritik for at invitere Team Kinguin, der nok ikke burde være med i den centraleuropæiske-region, samt stor kritik af deres admins, der muligvis favoriserede visse hold. Det lyder i hvert fald ikke til, at ESWC lader dem arrangere flere turneringer lige foreløbig.
Vinderen af turneringen ville have fået en plads ved finalestævnet i Montreal, men den plads bliver nu i stedet givet ud via ansøgninger. Det bliver interessant at se, hvem der får pladsen og muligheden for at få en del af de $75.000, der deles ud til de bedste hold i den mandlige del af CS:GO-finalerne.
