Den omdiskuterede profil, Christopher "Montecristo" Mykles, har på det seneste fået en del kritik, da Counter Logic Gaming med ham ved roret har opnået værre resultater end nogensinde før. Derfor er han nu fortid hos organisationen. I en udtalelse af George "HotshotGG" Georgallidis bliver det nævnt, at det ikke længere vil give mening at arbejde videre med Montecristo:
Monte has not only worked as our coach, but has also been a long time friend and supporter of CLG. While it is unfortunate it no longer makes sense for us to work together, he has been a great asset in assisting the development of our organization
Montecristo, der ellers har været kendt for at være caster i OGN, har ikke kunne levere varen, og nu hvor CLG er truet af relegations og risikoen for en exit fra NA LCS, har CLG istedet hevet den tidligere XDG-spiller, Christopher "Zuna" Buechter, ind til at hjælpe med kommunikation og atmosfære på holdet.
Assistant Manager, Matt "MaTTcom" Marikian, udtaler vedrørende Zuna:
While Zuna is not here as CLG's new coach he is here to assist and supplement communication, environment and analysis for the team in their preparations for the match vs Curse Academy. Because of his strong relationships and history with Aphromoo, Link and Doublelift we believe he can facilitate more constructive practice going into the relegation matches.
